Here's the American HMR-built 5MGE engine that powered the Supra to the 1992 Cal Club ITS Regional Championship and the 1992 Arizona Region Saguaro Series Championship. Displacing 2800cc, this twin-cam, 12-valve, inline six produced approximately 185-190 horsepower. The Supra was forced to compete against Datsun Z-cars with the same power and same tire size, but 600 lbs less weight. |
